Speed: NordVPN Is the Clear Winner

NordVPN claims to be “the fastest VPN on the market” with 800+ Mbps speeds. Independent testing from CNET’s October 2025 review round backs this up: NordVPN averaged just a 3% speed loss, significantly ahead of Surfshark’s 21% loss. Those are the most recent published figures as of this writing; speed results shift between test rounds, so treat the gap as directional.
