What we actually check
Prices come from the vendor's own page
Every price, plan limit and feature claim is checked against the live pricing page before a comparison goes out, and we tell you the date we looked.
Real screenshots
Every image on this site is our own capture of the actual product or pricing page. No stock photos, no vendor marketing assets.
Hands-on where we can be
Some of these tools we use and pay for ourselves, and we say so in the comparison. Where we haven't used one directly, the comparison sticks to what we can verify: pricing, plans, limits and documented features.
Downsides included
Every comparison names what each tool gets wrong. If something is buggy, limited or overpriced, we say so plainly.

This never affects our verdicts. We recommend tools because they suit a particular reader, not because they have an affiliate programme. Many of our most critical comparisons cover tools that do have one, and we still say exactly what's wrong with them. That's the whole point of this site.
