Prices come from the vendor's own page
Every price, plan limit and feature claim is checked against the live pricing page before a comparison goes out, and we tell you the date we looked.
Real screenshots
Every image on this site is our own capture of the actual product or pricing page. No stock photos, no vendor marketing assets.
Hands-on where we can be
Some of these tools we use and pay for ourselves, and we say so in the comparison. Where we haven't used one directly, the comparison sticks to what we can verify: pricing, plans, limits and documented features.
Downsides included
Every comparison names what each tool gets wrong. If something is buggy, limited or overpriced, we say so plainly.
How the price check actually works
Every price on this site comes from the vendor's own live pricing page, not from a press release, a review aggregator or another blog. When a comparison is written or revised, each figure in it — plan names, monthly and annual rates, seat limits, what a plan gates behind the next tier up — is read off that page and screenshotted.
Where a post carries a checked date, it appears under the headline, and the vendor pages it was checked against are linked so you can look at the same page we did. Posts without that line have not been re-checked since publication, and we would rather say nothing than imply a freshness we cannot evidence.
Prices move, and some move without announcement. If you are about to pay for something, re-check the vendor's page before you do — that is true of every comparison site, including this one.
How we make money
Some links on this site are affiliate links. If you click one and make a purchase, we may earn a commission at no extra cost to you.
This never affects our verdicts. We recommend tools because they suit a particular reader, not because they have an affiliate programme. Many of our most critical comparisons cover tools that do have one, and we still say exactly what's wrong with them. That's the whole point of this site.
